My name is Kevin Robert Keefe, and this is a small compilation of my professional Mechanical and Graphic Design career. I am a recent (2007) graduate of Clark University's Digital Multimedia and Web Design program and I would like to pursue a Graphic Design career however, I am very much interested in furthering my Mechanical Design career as well. I have approximately seven years experience on Pro Engineer 3D Mechanical Computer Aided Design software and I have recently completed several courses in SolidWorks 2008 3D MCAD Solid Modeler. Prior to my solid modeling MCAD career, I had approximately 10 years drafting and designing with Unigraphics II MCAD Wireframe Modeling. My 2D Design career started on the drawing board, eventually progressing to the computer with Unigraphics I, HP10-ME and some AutoCAD 12.

Due to the Confidential and Proprietary nature of my Mechanical Designs and detail drawings, I am not at liberty to show any of those examples in great detail here. Some of the responsibilities that I have held during my Mechanical Design career at various companies involved the design and detailing of both overt and covert communication devices, piping for nuclear power plants, C3 shelters for the Peacekeeper Missile System, guitar and keyboard synthesizers, large main-frame computer systems to small compact tape drive storage units. I've also held the position of Lead Mechanical Designer for a staff of nine Mechanical Designers, delegating work flows and verifying final documentation for approvals involving the commitment to ASME Y14.5M standards, corporate standards and to various degrees of ISO standards. The military and government work conformed to both Military and Federal standards.

During my professional career, I have had the opportunity to work as a Graphics Designer at various companies creating and manipulating engineering CAD models for placement into Technical Manuals as well as for Marketing purposes. I have also instructed and assisted technical writers in proper procedure and illustration methods. I have recently completed the Digital Multimedia and Web Design Certificate Program at Clark University in Framingham Massachusetts.

		I am a United States Army Veteran having served both on active duty as well as reserve component duty with a total of approximately 12 years service over a span of 20 years. I achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant, E-6 as an Infantry Brigade Operations (S3) NCO.

Today, I am married to my wonderful wife of 29+ years and we live in Marlborough Massachusetts. We have resided in Marlborough for over 26 years.

My main hobby interests are Military History, Scale Modeling of military related subjects ranging in scales from 1/285 to 1/2 and Woodworking. I enjoy spotting aircraft of all types (I used to jump out of them too!) and I also like to head to the Caribbean whenever we can.
